Job summary

CV TECHNICAL LTD in Ellesmere Port is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the site's maintenance program, reporting to the Group Engineering Manager. You will manage both planned and reactive maintenance to keep the production facility running smoothly and safely, with a focus on continuous improvements.

The role is Monday to Friday, with additional hours if required, and offers progression through progressive training within a secure and stable company. Salary up to £50,000.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification.
• HNC or HND in an engineering discipline would be advantageous.
• Background working within a manufacturing or production setting.
• Previous experience supervising or leading engineering personnel.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and improvement initiatives.
• Effective communication, fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance across engineering operations.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance activities and schedules.
• Improve machinery performance, availability and overall production efficiency.
• Investigate recurring faults and breakdowns, putting effective corrective actions in place.
• Manage, support and develop the engineering team.
• Oversee external contractors, critical spares and engineering expenditure.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, minimise downtime and increase equipment performance.

Reporting directly to the Group Engineering Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running.
