Job summary

Staffbase Recruitment seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineering Supervisor/Manager with an electrical bias to lead a small team of engineers and contractors in a manufacturing setting. The role covers CMMS management, project planning, CAPEX oversight and cost control.

The successful candidate will hold an electrical engineering qualification and have 5+ years of supervisory experience, with knowledge of PLC systems and safety management such as IOSH/NEBOSH. A hands-on approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management/supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Experience leading engineers and external contractors.
• Electrical engineering qualification and IOSH/NEBOSH level training preferred.
• Good knowledge of PLC systems.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification (HNC/degree/18th edition).

Responsibilities

• Source and order spare parts and replacements.

• Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance support.

Salary £65K - £70K Neg + Bonus

The Role:

• Maintain and develop the existing CMMS
• Management & control of a small team of maintenance engineers and also external contractors
• Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities and engineering projects
• Effective Budget and CAPEX Project management
• Monitoring, sourcing and ordering spare and replacement parts
• Ensure adequate staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met
• Adopt a continuous improvement approach and help to deliver efficiency and cost savings where possible
• Ensure compliance with all legal and HSE requirements
• Provide "Hands-on" assistance with electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance and repair of plant and machinery.

Key Qualifications:

• You will be an experienced maintenance engineering supervisor / manager with electrical bias.
• Applicants will have previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector e.g. chemical plants, plastics, metals, quarry or recycling.
• You will have at least 5 years management /supervisory experience and you must me confident in leading a team of engineers and external contractors.
• You will hold recognised electrical engineering qualification and ideally you will be trained in health & safety management to IOSH or NEBOSH level.
• You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g. HNC, degree or 18th edition certification and you will have good knowledge and understanding of plc systems.
