Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in Leicester is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a highly automated manufacturing site. You will lead the engineering team and remain hands-on technically, supporting fault-finding and maintenance as required.

The role focuses on reliability, continuous improvement and maximizing uptime, with a strong safety culture and collaboration with Production. Salary £60,000–£67,000, Days shift.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or management experience within an engineering/maintenance environment.
• Multi-skilled engineering background with both electrical and mechanical experience.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Hands-on approach – not a purely office-based management position.
• Experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager or Engineering Team Leader looking for your next challenge?

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a highly automated, fast-paced manufacturing site in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to lead from the front. You will manage and develop the engineering team while remaining hands-on technically, supporting with fault-finding, breakdowns and maintenance when required.

The site has a strong focus on engineering reliability, continuous improvement and maximising production uptime, making this an ideal role for someone who wants to make a genuine impact.

The Role

As Maintenance Manager, you will:

• Lead, manage and develop the engineering and maintenance team.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

You MUST have:

• Previous leadership or management experience within an engineering/maintenance environment.


• A multi-skilled engineering background, with both electrical and mechanical experience.


• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification as a minimum.


• A genuinely hands-on approach - this is not a purely office-based management position.


• Previous experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

The Ideal Candidate

You may currently be working as a:

• Maintenance Manager


• Engineering Manager


• Engineering Supervisor


• Engineering Team Leader


• Senior Maintenance Engineer

Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing would be highly advantageous.

PLC fault-finding, PPM, continuous improvement and reliability experience would also be beneficial.
