Are you a passionate and experienced Maintenance Supervisor looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older people? Look no further!

We're seeking a dynamic individual, ideally with a trade background, to lead our maintenance functionat Stoke Gifford Retirement Village in Bristol. In this crucial role, you'll ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and resident-focused maintenance services that support our commitment to “better lives for older people”.

The Role

  • Role:Maintenance Supervisor
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary: £37,000pa
  • Location: Stoke Gifford, Edward Parker Road, Bristol, BS16 1EJ

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities including grounds and facilities at our stunning Stoke Gifford Retirement Village, based in Bristol. You will also provide leadership to the location maintenance team and have extensive knowledge of building systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation.

Main Duties

  • Supervise, train, and manage a team of maintenance staff assigning tasks, setting schedules, and monitoring performance to ensure high-quality work and timely completion of work orders
  • Carry out minor repairs where possible and drive a high-performance culture within your team where our aspiration is to carry out more repairs ourselves
  • Respond to emergency situations to support where required, providing technical support to ensure timely resolutions
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities to identify and prioritise maintenance and repair needs
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of external contractors
  • Respond promptly to resident requests and concerns related to maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, repairs, and asset maintenance histories
