Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Plumber to join a static site maintenance team based in York. This is a stable, site-based role with regular hours, overtime opportunities, and no on-call rota.

You’ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, including flushing water systems in line with compliance, checking temperatures, diagnosing leaks, clearing blockages, and performing general plumbing repairs to a high standard.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or City & Guilds qualification is essential.
• L8 qualification would be highly desirable.
• Previous experience in building maintenance or a similar plumbing maintenance role.
• Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across the site.
• Routine water system flushing in line with compliance requirements.
• Check and record hot and cold water outlet temperatures.
• Diagnose and repair leaks and clear blockages.
• Perform general plumbing repairs and ensure safe, high-quality work.

Location: York

We are looking for an experienced Plumber to join a static site maintenance team based in York. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a stable, site-based role with regular hours, optional overtime, and no on-call requirement.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive plumbing maintenance tasks across the site, including:

• Routine water system flushing in line with compliance requirements
• Checking and recording hot and cold water outlet temperatures
• Diagnosing and repairing leaks
• Clearing blockages
• General plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or City & Guilds Plumbing qualification (essential)
• L8 qualification would be highly desirable
• Previous experience in building maintenance or a similar plumbing maintenance role

Salary & Benefits
