Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a highly skilled Static Plumber with a strong background in plumbing, mechanical maintenance, HVAC and fabric maintenance to keep our facilities running smoothly. The role involves reactive maintenance and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) to ensure reliable operations.

You will install, repair and maintain plumbing systems, respond to emergencies, perform routine maintenance on water heaters and boilers, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Desirable: City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC certifications.
• Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role in commercial/industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical maintenance, HVAC and fabric maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fittings and drainage.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies such as leaks and burst pipes.
• Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and rectify them.
• Perform routine maintenance on water heaters, boilers and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in plumbing systems and components.
• Carry out minor repairs on building fabric (walls, ceilings, floors).

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Static Plumber with a strong background in plumbing, mechanical maintenance, HVAC, and Fabric Maintenance. This dynamic role involves a variety of tasks including reactive maintenance and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Benefits:

• Competitive salary of £37,000 per annum.


• Regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.


• On-call rota with a standby payment of £150.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and drainage systems


• Respond to plumbing emergencies such as leaks, clogs, and burst pipes


• Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify and rectify potential issues


• Perform routine maintenance on water heaters, boilers, and other plumbing-related equipment


• Diagnose and repair faults in plumbing systems and components


• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance on building fabric, including walls, ceilings, and floors.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Essential: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.


• Desirable: Additional mechanical qualifications, such as City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC certifications, or equivalent.


• Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role, ideally within a commercial or industrial environment.


• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical maintenance, HVAC, and building fabric maintenance.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.


• Good communication skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently.
