Job summary

7 Steel UK is seeking a Planning Engineer for the Rod and Bar Mill Team to develop and maintain maintenance plans and schedules balancing safety, production priorities and resources.

You will lead SAP PM processes, coordinate weekly planning meetings and drive preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to minimize disruption while promoting a strong HSE culture. A BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical mindset to adapt in fast-paced rolling mill.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve SAP PM maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Facilitate weekly maintenance planning and scheduling meetings with Maintenance and Production teams.
• Develop weekly maintenance schedules based on preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities to minimize production disruption.
• Promote safety culture and participate in risk assessments.
