HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative in Sunderland to join our team. You will perform maintenance, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping tasks to ensure resident homes are well cared for and maintained to a high standard.

You’ll inspect and audit facilities, handle repairs from taps to extractor fans, and keep accurate records. A thoughtful, kind approach to residents and colleagues is essential, with safeguarding training provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems preferred.
• IT skills beneficial for reporting and records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out proactive maintenance and keep records up to date.
• Replace taps or mixer valves, fit extractor fans, repair timberwork.
• Apply fresh wallpaper as part of upkeep and improvement.
• Maintain safety and safeguarding training as required.
