Job summary

Linsco is recruiting for a Permanent Maintenance Operative to join the on-site team in Birmingham. You will deliver reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring the building is safe, compliant and well maintained to provide an excellent resident experience.

In this role you will carry out painting and decorating, general repairs including carpentry, tiling and drainage, and perform compliance checks such as fire doors and emergency lighting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance, facilities or handyman role.
• Strong painting and decorating experience.
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade.
• Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete painting and decorating to a high standard.
• Undertake general building repairs, including basic carpentry, tiling, drainage and hard landscaping.

Join the on-site team at a premium 667‑unit Build to Rent development in the heart of Birmingham. You'll play a key role in delivering reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring the building is safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard while providing an excellent experience for residents.

What We’re Looking For

Hours: Flexible to work 5 days out of 7 days (Monday-Sunday), in 2027 will move to 4 on 4 off shift pattern
