Job summary

TRC Yorkshire is seeking a Maintenance Technician to carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns and ensure Health & Safety standards are met at the Lye site.

You will work Monday to Thursday 7am-4:30pm and Friday 7am-1:30pm, driving reliability and safety across plant facilities. The role offers a path to grow technical skills within an industry-leading manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained; City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Experience with maintenance planning and preventative maintenance.
• Teamwork across Engineering, Production and Quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance inspections/servicing/repair as necessary.
• Attend faults to machinery or plant to ensure continuity of production.
• Fabricate or manufacture components for maintenance repairs.
• Regular inspections of grounds, factory, security and general building maintenance.
• Attend faults to customer site installations when requested.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Ensure safety, security and integrity of all plant and equipment.
• Key holder – locking up/security responsibilities.

Job description

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to carry out planned preventative maintenance, attend breakdowns of machines and equipment, and ensure the highest levels of Health & Safety are maintained.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4:30pm Friday 7am-1:30pm

Salary: £27,000-£30,000 DOE

Location: Lye, DY9

Role Overview

You will ensure the overall site, facilities and machinery run to maximum efficiency and output. This role is ideal for someone who is newly qualified/experienced and looking to develop and grow their skillset, building a long-term career with an industry leading manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance Inspections/Servicing/repair as necessary.
• Attending faults to machinery or plant at all company sites to ensure continuity of production.
• The fabrication and/or manufacture of components for maintenance repairs.
• Regular inspections of grounds, factory, security and general building maintenance.
• Attending faults to customer site installations when requested.
• Assistance in working for other departments when necessary.
• Ensure the safety, security and integrity of all plant, equipment, facilities and processes at all times.
• Key holder – locking up/security responsibilities.

Requirements

• Computer skills with Maintenance Planning, Microsoft Tools
• Apprentice trained, City & Guilds Qualified Mechanical Engineering/similar and industry experience
• Teamwork ethos across all functions (Engineering, Productions, Quality Management)
