Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician for a site-based role just outside Great Yarmouth. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical, automation, and control systems across manufacturing operations to keep equipment reliable and downtime to a minimum.

The role works 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7:30am–4:00pm and Friday 7:30am–1:30pm, offering opportunities for overtime, development, and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems.
  • Good understanding of HSE and quality standards.
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults on production equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and support production teams in restoring operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and plant equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment performance issues.
  • Manage and maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance consumables.
  • Participate in root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support contractors and external service providers during maintenance projects.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work procedures where applicable

What You Will Do

What We Are Looking For
Required:
