AIM Fresh Resourcing Partners Ltd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and safety of production equipment and site infrastructure in a busy operational environment.

The role focuses on delivering preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and driving improvements across engineering practices while supporting safe working conditions and accurate documentation. 12-hour shift patterns are available, with day and night options.

Qualifications

• Qualification in mechanical engineering (City and Guilds or equivalent) required.
• Electrical qualification and maintenance experience required.
• Strong knowledge of safe systems of work and health and safety regulations.
• Experience maintaining industrial machinery, production equipment, and site facilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver preventative maintenance to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly, carrying out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Monitor machinery performance using indicators and identify opportunities to improve reliability.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with health and safety legislation and safe working procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and production documentation after service work.
• Support maintenance of building systems, utilities and site infrastructure.
• Provide guidance and training to production colleagues on equipment operation.
• Assist with contractor management to ensure safety and compliance.

Maintenance Engineer

Ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and site infrastructure within a busy operational environment.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing maintenance and performance of production machinery, building services, and site equipment. This role is responsible for delivering preventative maintenance activities, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently in line with operational requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational performance while supporting continuous improvement across engineering and maintenance practices.

Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver preventative maintenance activities to ensure machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly, carrying out repairs to minimise operational downtime.
• Monitor machinery performance using agreed indicators and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all engineering work is completed in accordance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and production documentation following repair or servicing activities.
• Support the maintenance of building systems, utilities, and associated site infrastructure.
• Provide guidance and training to production colleagues on correct operation of equipment and machinery.
• Assist with contractor management and ensure external engineering work meets required safety and compliance standards.

Maintenance Engineer Key Skills and Experience

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification such as City and Guilds or equivalent.
• Electrical qualification and experience working within maintenance environments.
• Strong knowledge of safe systems of work and health and safety regulations.
• Experience maintaining industrial machinery, production equipment, and site facilities.
• Competent using Microsoft Office applications and maintenance documentation systems.

Day and night shift positions are available, with 12-hour shifts running from 06:00 to 18:00 or 18:00 to 06:00. Exact shift patterns can be discussed during the recruitment process.
