Job summary

TRC Yorkshire is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform planned preventative maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns and ensure high Health & Safety standards on site.

Based in Lye, the role offers progression, a structured maintenance environment, and the chance to contribute to continuous improvements across all plant and facilities.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained with City & Guilds qualification in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with maintenance planning and basic fault-finding on machinery.

Responsibilities

• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance inspections/servicing/repair as necessary.
• Attend faults to machinery or plant at all company sites to ensure continuity of production.
• Fabrication and/or manufacture of components for maintenance repairs.
• Regular inspections of grounds, factory, security and general building maintenance.
• Attend faults to customer site installations when requested.
• Assist in working for other departments when necessary.
• Ensure safety, security and integrity of all plant, equipment, facilities and processes at all times.
• Key holder - locking up/security responsibilities.

Job description

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to carry out planned preventative maintenance, attend breakdowns of machines and equipment, and ensure the highest levels of Health & Safety are maintained.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4:30pm Friday 7am-1:30pm

Salary: £27,000-£30,000 DOE

Location: Lye, DY9

Role Overview

You will ensure the overall site, facilities and machinery run to maximum efficiency and output. This role is ideal for someone who is newly qualified/experienced and looking to develop and grow their skillset, building a long-term career with an industry leading manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

• Apprentice trained, City & Guilds Qualified Mechanical Engineering/similar and industry experience
• Teamwork ethos across all functions (Engineering, Productions, Quality Management)
