Job summary

CYGNET Hospital Sherwood in Nottinghamshire is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our full-time team. You will provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.

The role requires experience in painting and decorating, basic joinery and plumbing, IT literacy, and a full driving licence. You may travel to other sites and be on call for emergency repairs outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• Experience painting and decorating in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Willing to travel and hold a full valid driving licence.
• Able to communicate at all levels and record detailed maintenance information.
• IT literate with basic record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service on site.
• Maintain records and use facilities management portal for coordination.
• Book and chaperone contractors when on site.
• Carry out basic joinery, plumbing, painting and general building work.

The service features three wards, including a 12 bed PICU ward and two 16 bed acute wards.Cygnet Hospital Sherwood has a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and will support the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.Your day-to-day...Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair serviceMaintain records and use facilities management portal to coordinate workBook and chaperone contractors when working on siteCarry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building workMaintain plant, services & vehicles in working orderComply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment & potential hazardsTravel to other sites & on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hoursCheck the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lightsWhy Cygnet?
