Cygnet Hospital Derby is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and planned remedial works to keep plant, services and vehicles in safe, working order. You’ll be part of a supportive team, recording call-outs and checks, performing decorating and basic joinery, maintaining equipment, and complying with safe working practices.
The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, within a hospital caring for people with mental health needs.

We are looking for a confident Maintenance Assistant to carry out a range of day-to-day maintenance tasks in order to ensure the hospital is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Derby. You’ll be working Monday – Friday from 7:30am - 4:00pm (40) hours a week in a hospital that supports individuals with personality disorders and mental health diagnoses.

Cygnet Hospital Derby provides low secure and mental health rehabilitation care based on the Recovery Model. Our integrated male care pathway includes Litchurch Ward, our low secure ward, and the Wyvern Unit, our mental health rehabilitation service. Alvaston Ward, our specialist female personality disorder service, is one of the leading services of its kind in the East and West Midlands.
Well offer you £13.15 per hour increasing to £13.45 per hour at 3 months and £13.70 per hour at 18 months
