The Recruitment Co in Dungannon is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join the property and housing services team. The role includes inspections, contractor liaison, and customer service in a busy setting. Immediate start, temporary until January 2027, at £16.90 per hour for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Ideal candidates have 1-5 years in maintenance or related fields, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Basic Access NI clearance is required.

Pay Rate: £16.90 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Contract: Temporary until January 2027

The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Officer to join a busy property and housing services team based in Dungannon.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in property maintenance, building inspections, construction, repairs coordination, or housing maintenance who enjoys a varied role combining inspections, contractor liaison, and customer service.

Main Duties

• Carry out property inspections including pre- and post-repair inspections.
• Inspect properties following fire, flood, and change-of-tenancy situations.
• Authorise maintenance and repair works in line with relevant procedures.
• Monitor completed works to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales.
• Raise and authorise emergency works where required.
• Investigate maintenance-related issues and ensure appropriate remedial action is taken.
• Provide updates and guidance to tenants regarding repair progress and maintenance matters.
• Support planned maintenance programmes including kitchens, bathrooms, heating systems, and external improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality services.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer queries effectively.
• 1-5 years' relevant experience within maintenance, construction, property inspections, housing, repairs coordination, or a similar environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Experience working with contractors and multiple stakeholders.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic Access NI clearance required.
