Job summary

Henry Blue Ltd is seeking a dependable Maintenance Officer in Loughborough to keep buildings, grounds, and facilities safe and well‑presented. This hands‑on role covers repairs, inspections, and basic trades, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will hold a full UK driving licence, pass an enhanced DBS check, and work 37 hours on rotating shifts. The role requires independent work, strong problem solving, and good communication to support staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, caretaking, estates, or similar role.
• Good practical skills across a range of maintenance disciplines.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements relevant to building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and improvements across the site.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment, identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
• Complete minor plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and basic repair works.
• Ensure the security, cleanliness, and upkeep of the premises and external areas.
• Assist with statutory compliance checks and health and safety inspections.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report significant issues.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
