Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across our North East manufacturing sites. You will ensure production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and at maximum performance while supporting continuous improvement.

The role requires strong knowledge of maintenance planning, TPM/PPM programs, and a proven ability to drive reliability, coach teams, and manage external contractors.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with maintenance operations.
• Strong knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) and TPM programs.
• Understanding of electrical regulations (17th or 18th Edition preferred).
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Full, clean driving license.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage maintenance activities across production and facility operations.
• Drive machine reliability and reduce downtime through preventive and continuous improvement programs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, BRC, and ISO standards.
• Monitor and report maintenance KPIs and performance metrics.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers.
• Support capital and operational improvement projects.
• Develop and coach maintenance team members to build technical capability and engagement.
• Manage facilities maintenance requirements to ensure efficient site operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain high housekeeping standards.
