Job summary

Pro-Pak Foods is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the Engineering team at the Malton site. You will oversee maintenance, improve equipment reliability and drive safety and efficiency in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You’ll report to the Head of Engineering and shape maintenance strategy while developing people and processes. The role is Monday–Friday, with a focus on delivering safe, compliant production at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Engineering or Maintenance teams in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and Lean practices.
• Experience with budgets and resource planning.
• Familiarity with food manufacturing standards (BRC is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and coach the Engineering team to deliver reliability and performance.
• Oversee fault diagnostics, breakdown response, and planned maintenance activities.
• Ensure PPM is executed on schedule and coordinated with Operations.
• Manage on-site contractors and maintain engineering records and reporting.
• Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
