Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all hotel maintenance. You will own the maintenance function, manage a team and contractors, and ensure safety, compliance and high standards across the property. This role reports to the Hotel Manager and drives long-term asset value.

You will plan preventative maintenance, oversee repairs and refurbishments, and coordinate with departments to minimize guest impact while delivering value and reliability across operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge across general maintenance disciplines.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and compliance regulations.
• Experience managing budgets, contractors and maintenance programmes.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team to deliver high standards and seamless guest experiences.
• Plan and implement preventative maintenance programmes and reactive repairs.
• Manage maintenance projects and refurbishments with minimal guest disruption.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, compliance and operational readiness.
• Oversee contractor relationships for quality, cost control and compliance.
• Monitor budgets and maintenance activity to deliver value for money.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity and equipment performance.
• Provide clear direction and development opportunities for the team.
• Collaborate with hotel management to align maintenance with P&L and guest satisfaction.
