Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a practical Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of our Swindon hotel. You will help keep guest rooms and public areas safe, functional and well presented, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

The role covers preventative and reactive maintenance, quick problem-solving, and collaboration with all departments to ensure smooth hotel operations and a high-quality guest experience.

Qualifications

• Carry out a range of maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating and minor electrical work.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes to ensure equipment and facilities remain in good working order.
• Conduct regular safety checks, including fire alarm testing and compliance checks.
• Identify and escalate safety risks or defects promptly.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to support smooth hotel operations.

We're looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of our hotel. You'll play a key role behind the scenes, ensuring everything from guest rooms to public areas is well maintained, safe and fully operational.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll support both preventative and reactive maintenance, helping to deliver a high-quality environment that enhances the overall guest experience.

About the Role
