Job summary

PRS is seeking a maintenance handyperson to cover PPM and reactive maintenance across the Northwest on commercial grade estates. The role involves general repairs, plumbing, lighting checks, compliance tasks and minor fabric maintenance.

It is a permanent position with a 40-hour week, typically Monday to Friday, with a company van provided. Based in Warrington with nationwide mobility within the Northwest, the successful candidate will assist engineers and trades on site, perform basic room

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance/handyperson roles.
• Full driving license.
• Plumbing experience welcome.
• Several years in similar role with good customer skills.
• Self-motivated with a can-do customer attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lamping and lighting checks.
• Fabric maintenance and small fabric repairs.
• Plumbing tasks and basic pipe work.
• Minor joinery and patch painting.
• Complete compliance checks and emergency lighting tasks.
• Assist engineers/trades on site on a mobile basis.
• General room repairs across sites.
• Ad-hoc handyperson duties as required.

Position: Maintenance Handyperson

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 basic depending on skill level. Mon-Fri 40 hours/week plus van etc

We are recruiting for a maintenance handyperson to cover PPM and reactive maintenance across the Northwest on commercial grade estates. The maintenance handyperson will be responsible for general repairs, plumbing, basic lighting checks, compliance checks, fabric maintenance and minor room / building repairs. The role is a permanent position paying £33,000 - £36,000 basic depending on skill level. Mon-Fri 40 hours/week plus van etc. 36k for more plumbing biased candidates.

Maintenance Handyperson Description:

Provide general maintenance to the facilities including:

• Lamping
• Fabric maintenance
• Plumbing
• Minor joinery, patch painting etc.
• Completing compliance checks, emergency lighting, tap temps etc.
• Assisting engineers and trades on site
• Basic room repairs
• Also working on a mobile across across the area
• Ad-hoc handyperson duties

Handyperson Requirements:

• To have maintenance and handyperson experience
• Valid driving license
• Plumbers mates are welcome to apply or candidates with Plumbing experience
• Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
• It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
• Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks and have a sound basic plumbing knowledge
• Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
