Job summary

Gold Group Limited is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Assistant in Greater Manchester (Chadderton) to join a large facilities management team. You will support maintenance across the estate, respond to breakdowns, and perform routine checks alongside cleaning and basic fabric tasks.

Role is 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, with an on-call rota. A full UK driving licence is required to travel between sites. Salary £27,000 p.a. plus van and fuel card, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role and PPM completion is desirable.
• Strong customer care and people skills.
• Ability to work well in a team or unsupervised.
• Basic fabric handyperson skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
• Must have a full valid UK driving licence to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Maintenance Manager and undertake allocated jobs.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and complete related paperwork.
• Carry out general duties including moves, tidying estates and plant rooms.
• Work alone or in a team to perform routine maintenance, repair and cleaning.
• Ensure cleaning materials and chemicals are available at all sites.
• Attend training programmes to meet contract requirements.

Brief

Mobile Maintenance Assistant needed for large, well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Greater Manchester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Maintenance Assistant that takes pride in their work with knowledge of maintenance, basic fabric handyperson skills and health and safety procedures.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Mobile Maintenance Assistant will include:

• Reporting to the Maintenance Manager
• To undertake any allocated jobs as directed by Maintenance Manager, in line with requests sent via PDA/mobile devices
• To respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns and ensure all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner
• To carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms.
• Work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning activity across the estate
• Responsible for ensuring cleaning materials and chemicals are available at all sites
• Required to attend training programmes as necessary to meet contract requirements and for self-development purposes.
• Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch break plus participation in the on-call rota (1 in 8 which includes weekends).
