Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Derby is seeking a confident Maintenance Assistant to carry out a range of day-to-day maintenance tasks in a hospital setting, ensuring services and equipment remain safe and functional.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, 40 hours per week, performing decorating, joinery, painting and general building work while maintaining records of call-outs and routine checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day maintenance in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to carry out decorating, basic joinery, painting and general building work.
• Good record keeping of maintenance activities and call-outs.
• Able to communicate at all levels and record maintenance information.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day maintenance and planned remedial works to keep plant, services and vehicles in working order.
• Carry out decorating, basic joinery, painting and general building work.
• Maintaining equipment, services and vehicles.
• Co-operate with safety practices and report hazards.
• Check fire alarm points and exits regularly.
