Job summary

Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Limited is seeking a Maintenance Skilled Tradesperson (Mechanical) to join the Estates team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. You will work on heating, plumbing and ventilation systems, performing planned maintenance and reactive work in a hospital environment.

The role requires on-call duties with additional pay, and opportunities to train as a boiler house operator and to work across workshops including building and electrical trades.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in a Plumbing/Heating (or equivalent experience).
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Significant post qualification training in plumbing, heating, ventilation or medical gas.

Responsibilities

• Completing plumbing, heating and ventilation Planned Preventive Maintenance and reactive work.
• Willing to undertake training to be appointed boiler house operator.
• Willing to undertake training to carry out work on the hospital’s hydrotherapy pool.
• Able to supervise junior staff while working on jobs.
• Delivering good customer service and acting as an ambassador for DSFS.
• Contributing to the estates on-call rota and ensuring service is responsive and compliant.
