Hunter Selection in Clevedon is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team, focusing on planned maintenance, improvements, and safety checks across plant equipment.

The role includes weekend rotation, overtime opportunities, and a competitive salary. The ideal candidate will have formal engineering qualifications and experience in food/packaging industries.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering qualification required (C&G Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship).
• Experience with continuous improvement projects and strong engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Planned maintenance inspections and review parts used.
• Recommend improvements aligned with projects and maintenance schedules; carry out safety checks on equipment.
• Monitor plant conditions; report defects and repair machinery; generate and maintain SOPs and risk assessments.
• Report on plant performance using systems and ensure action on non-conformances.
• Work on valves & pumps and support production and continuous improvement projects.

Maintenance Engineer - Clevedon, North Somerset

52,000 - 53,700, Monday - Friday, 1 weekend in 4 with time off in the week

Overtime 1.5 Monday - Friday, Double time for weekend, Bank holiday double time + time in lieu,

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that’s quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and over 9mill of investment going into the factory & growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
• Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment
• Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machineryGenerate and maintain compliance to SOP's, risk assessments
• Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues
• Working on a range of valves & Pumps
• Supporting production & continuous improvement projects

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
• Continuous improvement knowledge
• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
• Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments
