A leading food manufacturing company based in the United Kingdom is looking for a Maintenance Engineering Team Leader to lead a team of engineers in Lichfield. The role includes hands-on engineering tasks, ensuring equipment maintenance, and driving technological advancements. Candidates should have strong electrical and mechanical skills, relevant qualifications, and proven leadership experience. A salary of £56,000 per annum plus benefits is offered, along with opportunities for personal development within the engineering team.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineering Team Leader to join our team at Florette in Lichfield (WS13 8NF). Reporting into and assisting the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Team Leader will lead one of our shift teams comprising of 2 Maintenance Engineers. You will also carry out engineering duties alongside your team, ensuring routine servicing and conducting repairs across the site is performed at a high quality. The successful candidate will be electrically biased or strongly multi‑skilled across both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.
This role is perfect for a current Maintenance Engineer with proven team‑leading and managing skills that is wanting to move into a formal Team Leader position. This role is also perfect for someone looking for their first step up as a Maintenance Team Leader within Engineering with guidance available from other TLs and the Engineering management. You will have a good knowledge of both preventative and reactive maintenance, ideally within a food manufacturing environment. This role offers an opportunity for a proactive and innovative individual to drive forward technological advancements and make a significant contribution to the future of engineering projects within our organisation, that will give the successful candidate notable expansions in their personal development and overall skillset.
Pay: £56,000 per annum
Working hours: Panama Shift – 12 hour shifts | 7am‑7pm & 7pm‑7am | Rotating days & nights
