Job summary

Virgin Active in Northampton is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance Team. You will operate and maintain a preventative maintenance programme for the site, including the building shell and grounds, under supervision of the line manager.

You will ensure compliance with engineering standards, maintain a safe, well-ordered environment for members and staff, and take ownership of issues as they arise while working as part of the wider club team.

Qualifications

• Technical Level 2 qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a preventative maintenance programme for the site under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety policies.
• Maintain building fixtures and plant rooms to high standards of order and tidiness.
• Perform daily/weekly checks and keep accurate records.
• Respond to issues promptly and take ownership of situations.
• Work collaboratively with the club team to support members and queries.

Education

City & Guilds Level 2 (technical) or equivalent
