Job summary

Virgin Active is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance Team. This full-time role (40 hours per week) focuses on operating and maintaining a preventive maintenance programme for the site, including the building shell and grounds, under the supervision of the line manager.

You will ensure compliance with safety standards, monitor fixtures, perform regular checks, and support members and the club team. A Level 2 City & Guilds or equivalent qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Technical Level 2 qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Experience in facilities maintenance or engineering environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain preventive maintenance across the site
• Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards
• Maintain building services, plant rooms, roof and exits
• Record daily/weekly checks and report issues promptly
• Assist with member queries and club operations during shifts
