Job summary

B&M Retail Limited in Bedford is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Distribution Centre. This is a hands-on role supporting the Maintenance Manager with general maintenance and upkeep of the site and equipment, including testing water/electrical systems and installing new equipment.

The role is full-time and on-site, 5 days per week, with a Monday–Friday, 39-hour pattern. You will respond quickly to breakdowns, carry out planned maintenance, maintain records in our

Qualifications

Trade qualification at level 2+ in plumbing/electrical/carpentry.
Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
Can-do attitude; no job is too small or too large.
Ability to use power and hand tools as required.
Warehousing experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Respond to breakdowns and issues raised by colleagues.
Carry out routine/planned maintenance tasks.
Maintain records on facilities management system.
Collaborate with third party contractors.
Assist with quotes, project work and general PPM as required.
