Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting for a globally operating logistics and automation business based in Chesterfield. We are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an automated distribution centre and support the engineering team.

The role favors electrically biased engineers, offers a continental shift pattern (days and nights), and includes 26+8 BH holiday, a 6% pension match, and the chance to participate in bonus and share schemes.

Qualifications

• Fully apprenticeship trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge from manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Experience with PLC control systems, preferably Siemens S7.
• Experience with automated materials handling systems is advantageous.
• Able to work at heights with training and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on engineering to support the logistics system.
• Perform reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Keep maintenance records up to date using CMMS.
• Follow safety and repair best practices at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements of Maintenance Engineer

• Ideally fully apprenticeship trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications
• Good level of electrical & mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Working knowledge of PLC control systems, desirably Siemens S7
• Experience of automated materials handling systems would also be an advantage but not essential
• Ok to work at heights when needed (via harnesses and full training etc)
