Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the nights team at a developing food manufacturer. This role offers a clear pathway to long-term progression and the chance to learn new skills while developing personally.

Working on a variety of equipment, you will perform maintenance, respond to breakdowns, drive improvements, and ensure compliance through proper paperwork. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off night pattern from 18:00 to 06:00.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical engineering experience; a qualification is desirable.
• Ability to work on own initiative and with the site team.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance across the site to minimise downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly to reduce production impact.
• Identify improvement opportunities for machine performance and implement solutions.
• Complete engineering paperwork to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors onsite.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area with detailed records.
