Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a leading food and industrial manufacturing site in Portlethen. The role focuses on planned preventive maintenance and rapid breakdown repairs to keep production running.

You will work alongside the engineering team on conveyors, packers, weighers, PLC-controlled equipment, and automation, with a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern (6am–6pm). This is a stable, long-term opportunity with career development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or above.
• Previous experience in factory/manufacturing environments.
• Multi-skilled maintenance with electrical or mechanical bias.
• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site equipment.
• Perform reactive breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with production to improve equipment performance.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
