Permanent Futures Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a high-volume manufacturing environment on permanent night shifts (4 on 4 off). You will lead maintenance on automated production lines and drive reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding capabilities.
• Experience working with automated production machinery.
• Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or equivalent).
• A proactive approach to maintenance, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns efficiently, minimising production downtime.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency and overall performance.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates safely and effectively.
• Identify recurring faults and implement long-term engineering solutions.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and engineering compliance.

• A proactive approach to maintenance, problem-solving and Continuou Improvement.
