Job summary

ATA Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) for a well-established family-run manufacturing business in Middleton. The role focuses on maintaining and improving modern production lines, ensuring safe and efficient operation, with a rotating 3-shift pattern (6:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00-06:00).

The package includes a £48,000 per annum salary and substantial development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
  • Electrical bias with strong fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or factory environment (all industries considered).
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
  • Reactive maintenance and breakdown response.
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
  • Maintaining and improving 13 specialist production lines.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working closely with production to minimise downtime.

Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Salary: £48,000 per annum
Location: Middleton
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating 3 shifts:

  • 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm – 10:00pm
  • 10:00pm – 6:00am

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias), you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving a modern manufacturing facility, ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Maintaining and improving 13 specialist production lines
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
