  • Support machinery installations, upgrades, testing and commissioning activities.
  • Work closely with Operations and other departments on engineering projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, environmental and food safety requirements.
  • Follow safe systems of work and lockout procedures where required.
  • Provide technical support across the wider production environment.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Strong electrical maintenance experience with sound mechanical knowledge.
  • Previous Maintenance Engineering experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience with both PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Experience fault finding across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience working with production machinery and plant equipment.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment, motor inverters and industrial control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively during breakdown situations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Commitment to high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):

  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Additional electrical or mechanical qualifications.
  • Previous experience within food manufacturing or food processing.
  • Experience supporting machinery installation and commissioning.
  • Experience within a continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environment.
