Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in York is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a busy production line. You will tackle mechanical and electrical faults and help drive continuous improvement to keep downtime to a minimum.

You’ll work on installation and commissioning tasks, ensure all activities meet food safety standards, and collaborate with production teams to sustain peak performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance engineering role; food or FMCG background is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills (pneumatics and hydraulics).
• Proactive, can-do attitude; able to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible to work shifts and support production as needed.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: York
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating double days (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
Salary: Up to £47,000
Are you a skilled maintenance engineer looking to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team? We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to help keep operations running smoothly across a busy production environment.

You’ll work on a wide range of equipment, tackling both mechanical and electrical issues, and play a key role in supporting continuous improvement and minimising downtime.
Working closely with production teams to maintain peak operational performance
Assisting with equipment installation and commissioning
