Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Carmarthen to join a well-established food manufacturing business. You'll join a close-knit engineering team and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis on mechanical and electrical systems, and support for continuous improvement while ensuring food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance engineer in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Be comfortable with beef-based products.
• Proactive maintenance mindset.

What You'll Do:

Join a well-established food manufacturing business as part of a close-knit engineering team, helping to keep production running efficiently and safely.

In this role, you'll:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of food production equipment
• Support continuous improvement activities to minimise downtime
• Diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical faults
• Work on packing lines, processing equipment and ovens
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure operational performance targets are achieved
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and engineering compliance

What You'll Bring:

• Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a food manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• A genuine multi-skilled background, although candidates with an electrical bias are encouraged to apply
• Practical engineering experience that demonstrates your capability, regardless of qualification level
• A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving
• Comfortable working within a food production environment involving beef-based products
