Job summary

Castle Employment Group is seeking an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer for a large site near York. The role involves electro-mechanical maintenance across a broad range of plant and equipment with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work a 4 on/off continental DAYS shift from 6am to 6pm, respond to breakdowns, support servicing and calibration, and operate within automated storage and warehouse systems while using CMMS and collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance of industrial plant and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on a variety of systems.
• Ability to plan and prioritise maintenance tasks to minimise downtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electro-mechanical maintenance across a wide range of plant and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Support servicing, inspection and calibration of equipment.
• Work across automated storage and warehouse systems.
• Ensure all work complies with HSE, fire and site safety standards.

A well-established leading company based outside of York is looking for an experienced, highly motivated multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join the business. Preferably with experience from a manufacturing or distribution sector background. This is a varied role, over a large site with a dynamic, friendly environment.

• Carry out electro-mechanical maintenance across a wide range of plant and equipment
• Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Support servicing, inspection and calibration of equipment
• Work across automated storage and warehouse systems
• Ensure all work is completed in line with HSE, fire and site safety standards
• Use CMMS systems to log and track maintenance activity
• Work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams
