Job summary

NuStaff Recruitment is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer in Honiton, Devon. The role focuses on planned maintenance, fault-finding, and reliability improvements in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will work with the Engineering Team to minimise downtime and drive OEE improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' manufacturing engineering experience, including food production.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capabilities.
• Understanding of BRC certification and food manufacturing compliance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime.
• Identifying root causes and implementing long-term reliability improvements.
• Maintaining maintenance records and spare parts control using Redzone.
• Setting up production lines and training operators in the correct use of machinery.
• Driving improvements in machine uptime, OEE, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Supporting food safety standards and BRC compliance through effective engineering practices.
