Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a market-leading manufacturing business in West Devon, near Okehampton. You will carry out planned preventive maintenance, tackle reactive issues and fault finding to maximise uptime and efficiency.

The role is electrically or mechanically biased, requires a recognised engineering qualification and a full UK driving licence. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and fault‑finding on automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and production efficiency.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements

• Either electrically or mechanically biased – electrical bias preferred.
• Backgrounds considered from manufacturing, industrial, or Armed Forces REME (Army, Navy, RAF).
• Comfortable working in tough industrial working environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience carrying out planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance.

Requirements

• Hands‑on fault‑finding experience.
• Recognised engineering qualification.
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
