Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a Towcester site in Northamptonshire. The role focuses on diagnosing faults and carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment, with a strong emphasis on reducing downtime through planned preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably in manufacturing/food production
• Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Multi-skilled with electrical or mechanical bias

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety procedures
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager and wider team to maintain smooth plant operations

Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 (OTE £48,000 - £50,000)

Location: Towcester, Northampton

Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:30 + overtime paid at 1.5x

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
