Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for our Towcester site in Northamptonshire. You will diagnose faults and perform electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment to minimise downtime and keep plant operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in maintenance engineering, recognised NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications, and a multi-skilled bias with strong fault-finding abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role (manufacturing, food production, cold storage, or similar).
• Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Multi-skilled with either an electrical or mechanical bias.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out electrical & mechanical repairs on production equipment.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Ensure strict adherence to health & safety procedures.
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager and wider team to maintain smooth plant operations.

Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 (OTE £48,000 - £50,000)
Location: Towcester, Northampton
Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:30 + overtime paid at 1.5x
