Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing site in Tayport, Fife. The role focuses on proactive maintenance, reducing downtime and ensuring machinery runs safely and efficiently on a rotating 12-hour days and nights shift.

You will carry out PPMs, reactive repairs, fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems, and work both independently and as part of a team. The position offers £45,000 per year and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent).
• Experience maintaining production or automated machinery.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment and prevent downtime.

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Tayport, Fife.

This is an exciting role for a proactive engineer looking to work in a fast-paced production environment where reliability, continuous improvement, and teamwork are at the heart of the operation. Working a rotating 12-hour days and nights shift pattern, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime, and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Previous maintenance experience within an manufacturing environment.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
• Multi-skilled engineering experience with both mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Essential Requirements
