Proactive Global is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join a world-class manufacturing site in Leeds. This hands-on role covers reactive and planned maintenance across highly automated production lines, ensuring smooth operation and maximum uptime.

Candidates should hold a Level 3 engineering qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ) with experience in manufacturing, a mechanical or electrical bias, and strong fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Background in manufacturing or process environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Electrical and/or mechanical bias welcomed.
• Experience with automated production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance across process machinery.
• Maintain automated production machinery and equipment.
• Fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical/mechanical systems.

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading, world‑class manufacturing business in Leeds. This Maintenance Engineer role is a hands‑on position within a highly automated, state‑of‑the‑art production environment.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production through both reactive and planned maintenance across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance across process machinery so much more interesting work
• Working with more complex machinery
• Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Supporting continuous improvement and project work
• Maintaining automated machinery
• Working with pumps, motors, gearboxes, and related equipment
• Minimising downtime and maximising machine performance

Requirements
