Job summary

Hunter Selection | B Corp™ seeks a Maintenance Engineer for their Poole site. The role focuses on minimising downtime, carrying out preventative maintenance and driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

You will respond to breakdowns, apply root cause analysis, and document tasks on an electronic system while enjoying a strong benefits package and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering qualifications recognised in UK manufacturing.
• Experience in engineering and production environments is required.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Execute preventative maintenance plans and react to issues as needed.
• Apply root cause analysis tools and 5S to drive improvements.
• Support continuous improvement culture and reduce persistent problems.
• Record maintenance tasks on an electronic reporting system.

£50,000 - £52,000 + Bonus

Monday - Friday + Plenty of overtime, 1 weekend in 4 with time off in the week

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that's quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and due to growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability


• Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively


• Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S


• Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems


• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance


• Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained


• Continuous improvement knowledge


• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards


• Experience in Engineering, manufacturing or production environments
