Job summary

Stirling Warrington is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Nottingham to keep automated manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently on a Monday–Friday days shift.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding on PLCs and robotics, and support small installation projects while collaborating with production teams to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• PLC fault finding and programming experience.
• Robotics fault finding and programming experience.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
• Planned and reactive maintenance experience.
• Experience with automated machinery and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site.
• Fault finding on automated machinery and production equipment.
• Robot fault finding and programming.
• PLC fault finding, diagnostics and programming.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
• Identify recurring faults and improve machine reliability.
• Support installation, modification projects as required.
• Work with wider engineering and production teams.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for keeping a range of automated manufacturing machinery running efficiently and safely. The role will involve a mixture of planned maintenance, reactive fault finding and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Attending to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site
• Fault finding on automated machinery and production equipment
• Robot fault finding and programming
• PLC fault finding, diagnostics and programming
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Identifying recurring faults and helping to improve machine reliability
• Working with automated systems, sensors, drives, motors and control equipment
• Supporting installation, modification and improvement projects where required
• Working closely with the wider engineering and production teams
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment

About You

We’re looking for an electrically biased maintenance engineer who is confident working in a highly automated manufacturing environment.

You’ll ideally have experience with:

• Electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• PLC fault finding and programming
• Robotics – fault finding and programming
• Automated machinery and control systems
• Planned and reactive maintenance
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings
• Diagnosing faults efficiently and methodically
