Job summary

Iconic Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining high standards. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be confident in communicating with the team.

The role involves responding to emergency maintenance calls, ensuring that jobs are completed in a timely manner, and reporting any faults, contributing to a safe and efficient hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance is desirable.
• Experience in large properties is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls for maintenance from all departments.
• Ensure all priority maintenance jobs are completed.
• Work flexibly and respond to job priorities at short notice.
• Ensure safety of all appliances, fixtures, and fittings.
• Be on call on a rota basis if required.

Maintenance Assistant – About you

• Experience in hotel maintenance is desirable
• Experience in large properties is desirable
• You will have a keen eye for detail, organisational skills and confident in communicating with the team

Aim of the Maintenance Assistant role

To assist the Maintenance Manager on a day to day basis to assist with the high standards of maintenance within the hotel

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant role

• Take ownership in responding to emergency calls for maintenance from all departments.
• Be confident in ensuring all priority maintenance jobs are completed
• To show team work and flexibility in being able to respond to changes in job priorities at short notice.
• To be confident in ensuring that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and report any faults to the Maintenance Manager
• To be on call on a rota basis if required
• All staff should beconfidentin understanding and executing the company's policies and procedures with respect to privacy, confidentiality and data protection.
