Job summary

ATA Recruitment seeks a Maintenance Engineer for a long-established food manufacturer in Long Clawson. The role focuses on keeping production and packing equipment running smoothly, with hands-on fault-finding and maintenance across a range of machinery.

The position offers a £49,000 salary (plus excellent benefits) and requires a Level 3 Engineering qualification with prior maintenance experience. You will join a team dedicated to high plant availability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.
• Good electrical fault-finding ability.
• Experience working on production or automated machinery.
• The ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and Planned Preventive Maintenance.
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
• Working on automated production and packing machinery.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Identifying recurring faults and supporting improvements.
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment where required.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring work is completed safely.
• Working as part of a wider engineering team to maintain high levels of plant availability.

We are currently working with a long-established, farmer-owned food manufacturer with over 100 years of history, renowned for producing award-winning speciality products supplied across the UK and exported internationally.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, solving faults and working with a wide range of production machinery.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play an important role in keeping the site's production and packing equipment operating efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding
• Working on automated production and packing machinery
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings
• Identifying recurring faults and supporting improvements
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime

About You
