Join a global manufacturer at the forefront of innovative packaging solutions.. This is an excellent opportunity for an Maintenance Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer
- Provide breakdown support across injection moulding machines, automation systems, and ancillary equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes and equipment effectiveness.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and external suppliers to deliver operational objectives.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with health and safety standards and company procedures.
- Assist with training and mentoring colleagues to develop engineering capability across the team.
- Support fellow engineers and departments as required.
- Promote and maintain a positive safety culture throughout the site.
Experience / Qualifications - Maintenance Engineer
- Time-served engineer with an electrical or mechanical bias (multi-skilled experience highly desirable).
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Injection moulding experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across automated production equipment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to improving equipment performance and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate across multiple departments.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within an industrial environment.
